Two Weeks

I have two weeks left before beginning my 6th year in education.  I've probably done the most preparation this summer than I've ever done in previous summers.  I'm hesitantly looking forward to beginning another year.  Last year was....challenging.  I'll be working under a new principal this year...my 7th principal.  I can only think of the phrase 'they come and go so quickly around here' when I think of principals.  I wish there was some sort of stability in education, but until education is valued by the majority then we will continue to lose those in education to 'better' jobs.  

I'll be teaching Integrated Math 1 and 2 to 9th and 10th graders this year.  Last year was my first year teaching the Integrated program.  I am an advocate of this approach in most situations.  We're phasing in the Integrated approach so we only offered Math 1 last year which means...I have the pleasure of teaching Math 2 for the first time.  Hopefully it goes well!
